By Aydan Corkern Let me ask you a question: do you trust your banking institutions? Or do you feel like a lot of people that our banks aren't playing fair? Have you ever had a lot of overdrafts only to find out that your bank forgot to deposit one or more of the deposits that you have a receipt for? When you call them about this problem and they say that it was their fault and that they will fix the problem, do you think that they fixed it completely or that they might have forgotten to fix a few?
If it wasn't for our debit cards being so easy to pay our bills with and cheaper, I would close my bank account and just put my money in a safe in my home and pay for anything I buy with cash. Then I wouldn't have to worry that the bank might do this to me again. If you feel the same way our banks will be the next to go down. Oh, I forgot that our government is already having problems with some of our banks! I'm not telling anyone to close their banking accounts but to keep a really close eye on your accounts. If something were to happen to make you unsure of your account, then you need to change your banking practices or go to a different bank. With everything so tight now from state and federal spending to our own lack of being able to spend anything that will hurt you, your way of life is going to become dangerous or on fire for some to try to fix. The systems that are in place now don't seem to be working anymore because no matter how hard we try to fix something, the government or our banks just seem to keep on their destructive ways and in the end it is us that will get the kick or boot to the door. By the looks of all that is in the news today, the middle, the working class, and the lower class will be the only ones that will be in trouble. The upper class of people will just keep doing what they do best: spend. This is how the leaders and government officials look in our eyes. They spend so much money on things that they don't need while the rest of us hurt. Your banks are no different.
